About This Role

UOB seeks an experienced VP, Machine Learning Engineer to drive the enterprise AI strategy and enhance the AI platform. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying high-impact ML solutions to solve real-world banking challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance the enterprise AI platform in partnership with group technology.
• Act as AI platform SME, developing end-to-end ML solutions with stakeholders.
• Design reusable assets, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate model development.
• Collaborate on adopting best-in-class practices for streamlined model deployment.
• Build and optimize data/ML pipelines ensuring high-quality data feeds.
• Develop tools/UIs to finalize AI products for business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Minimum 8 years as an ML Engineer with production deployment track record.
• In-depth knowledge of ML algorithms, lifecycle, and deployment patterns.
• Hands-on experience with data management (Hadoop, Spark, ETL, databases).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud-based AI platforms.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts.
