About This Role
UOB seeks a Senior Officer to provide 24x7 operational support in the Data Centre, monitoring multi-platform systems and resolving IT incidents. This role requires technical proficiency and adaptability to shift work.
Responsibilities
- Monitor software/hardware across various systems (OS, application, network) and react to exceptions.
- Monitor application job flow scheduled by job scheduling software and address issues.
- Manage IT incidents and problems reported via phone or email from UOB staff.
- Maintain detailed Incident Logs for all monitored software, hardware, and applications.
- Perform job submission, backup, recovery, and restarts per SOP.
- Provide first-level problem determination and resolution before escalation.
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years' hands-on experience in IT operations/Command Center.
- Familiarity with Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX/Linux, or Windows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work well in a team and remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Availability for on-call/shift duty.
