About This Role
Join UOB as Manager, Computer Operator in the Central Region to ensure seamless 24x7 operation of critical IT systems across multiple platforms. This role involves monitoring, incident management, and maintaining high service availability in a mission-critical Command Center.
Responsibilities
- Perform real-time monitoring of system platforms, applications, and network infrastructure.
- Track and manage scheduled batch jobs to ensure timely execution and resolution of failures.
- Identify, escalate, and track incidents to support teams for minimal business disruption.
- Conduct first-level diagnosis and resolution of system and batch issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application support teams on incidents and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate operational logs, incident records, and shift handover documentation.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in IT/Computer Science or related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT operations/Command Center.
- Familiarity with Mainframe, AS/400, UNIX/Linux, or Windows systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Role Type (GTO) and relevant experience level.
