Job Description Client Services (Credit) - Collections is responsible for interacting with clients, either directly or indirectly, in support of sales, trading, relationship management, or portfolio management activities. The Collections area is responsible for collecting delinquent accounts and rescheduling payments, as necessary, to minimize delinquencies and foreclosures. Consumer Banking covers activities related to providing services and products directly to consumers through various business channels. This group includes retail banking, consumer lending, auto finance, small business banking, and related business areas. Job Purpose To manage the end‑to‑end recovery, control, and disposal of repossessed properties and vehicles, ensuring regulatory compliance, asset value preservation, timely sale execution, and accurate financial recovery for the Bank. Key Responsibilities Coordinate property & vehicle repossession and asset custody including keys, access cards, and registers. Conduct or arrange post‑repossession property inspections. Assess property conditions, safety risks, and compliance requirements. Manage lock changes, utilities (activation/termination), and urgent maintenance. Source repair and cleaning quotations and obtain approvals. Verify validity of fire insurance for repossessed properties. Instruct and manage external lawyers on repossession and sale matters. Serve statutory notices and ensure compliance with mortgage and sale requirements. Liaise with government offices (CPF Board, IRAS, HDB, Town Councils) MCSTs, Private Trustee, repossession agents and store yard warden. Take prompt action to meet timeline. Arrange for valuations for financial reporting and support reserve price setting. Provide analytical inputs for asset disposal and recovery decisions. Key Deliverables Secure, compliant repossession and custody of assets Timely inspection and value‑preserving maintenance actions Accurate legal, regulatory, and insurance compliance Proper documentation and audit‑ready records Ensure shortfall (if any) are charged off timely. Requirements Qualifications Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline. Experience At least 5 years' experience in secured lending, mortgage recovery, property management, or asset disposition. Hands‑on exposure to repossession, foreclosure, or distressed asset sales preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of mortgage recovery and property disposal processes Understanding of Singapore property regulations (HDB, CPF, IRAS, SSD) Financial and valuation analysis capability Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills High attention to control, risk, and regulatory compliance Proficient in Excel and structured reporting Mature and independent Additional Requirements Be a Part of the UOB Family UOB is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements:
