Senior Manager-Transport

About This Role

Lead end-to-end transport operations, including container haulage and domestic distribution, driving financial performance and service excellence for Maersk in Singapore. This role involves operational oversight, strategic vendor management, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage transport operational budgets and ensure cost control to meet financial targets.
• Drive efficiency through vehicle scheduling, route planning, and resource optimization.
• Monitor and report operational KPIs to enhance productivity and service levels.
• Negotiate rates and manage strategic relationships with transport vendors and contractors.
• Lead operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee incident management while promoting a strong safety culture.

Requirements

• 8+ years in logistics/transportation, with 5+ years in people leadership.
• Degree in Logistics, SCM, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of container haulage and local distribution in Singapore.
• Proven experience in transport planning and fleet management systems.
• Demonstrated leadership capability in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure.
