About This Role
Seeking a Research Associate to lead the development of carbon-enhanced concrete materials, including testing and cost-benefit analysis for large-scale applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead new carbon materials enhanced concrete development via secure storage and property enhancement.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of advanced concrete materials developed by the candidate.
- Perform cost-benefit and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses on new materials.
- Conduct research on carbon material enhanced concretes with various forms of carbon for demonstration in suitable applications.
- Collaborate closely with the project's PI group on topics like self-healing and sustainable cementless materials.
- Ensure the developed materials are demonstrated in suitable large-scale applications.
Requirements
- Graduate with a Master Degree from a reputable university in material science, civil engineering, or related fields.
- Have relevant research experience and strong journal publication record.
- Possess experimental skills in nano/microstructural material tailoring, novel sustainable concrete development, and mechanical testing.
- Demonstrate familiarity with carbon material enhanced concrete/geopolymer materials.
- Have hands-on experience as well as solid theoretical background and excellent paper/report writing skills.
