Research Fellow (Polymer Design and Mechanical Properties)

About This Role

Research Fellow sought at NTU to investigate polymer networks, focusing on how structure and processing influence mechanical performance under extreme conditions. The role involves leading research, experimental characterization, and publishing findings.

Responsibilities

• Lead research to meet project objectives and deliverables.
• Design, prepare, and process polymer networks for study.
• Conduct experimental characterization (chemical, mechanical, rheological).
• Investigate structure–processing–property relationships.
• Prepare manuscripts and contribute to conference presentations.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

Requirements

• PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related field.
• Strong background in experimental characterization of polymer materials (mechanical testing, rheology).
• Experience in polymer synthesis or preparation.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
