Responsibilities

  • Operate nano-computed tomography (nano-CT) systems for high-resolution 3D imaging.
  • Prepare, mount, and align samples for CT scanning to optimize scan parameters.
  • Perform system calibrations, routine checks, and troubleshoot operational issues during imaging.
  • Reconstruct CT scan datasets using reconstruction software for quantitative analysis.
  • Extract measurements such as porosity, defects, and internal structure from 3D datasets.
  • Generate technical reports, figures, and summaries of results.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Imaging Science.
  • Basic understanding of X-ray imaging and tomography principles.
  • Experience with CT reconstruction or analysis software (e.g., Dragonfly, Avizo).
  • Experience with scientific data analysis and image processing tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills.
