About This Role
Seeking a PhD candidate in material science or civil engineering to lead research on smart solid carbon sequestered concrete materials, including conductive and structural battery applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop new carbon materials enhanced concrete (e.g., conductive, structural battery, energy harvester) via incorporation of various carbon materials.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of all advanced concrete material developed for the project.
- Perform cost-benefit analysis and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of the developed materials.
- Conduct translational research to validate real-world applications in tropical megacities.
Requirements
- PhD degree from a renowned university in material science, civil engineering, or related fields.
- Extensive knowledge of carbon materials enhanced concrete and geopolymer material science.
- Familiarity with analytical, experimental techniques, hands-on experience, and solid theoretical background.
- Excellent paper/report writing skills.
