Research Associate (Maritime Energy and Sustainability)

About This Role

Seeking a Research Associate to lead translational research in maritime energy and sustainable development, focusing on low-carbon shipping solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in maritime energy and electrification pathways.
• Collect, analyse, and model data related to shipping operations and emissions.
• Prepare progress reports, technical papers, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development activities including proposal writing and securing funding.
• Drive translational research outcomes, including Technology Disclosures and IP filings.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in energy research or technical work for shipping/ports.
• Proficiency in information visualisation and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for data analysis.
