About This Role

The Education Research Scientist (ERS) position at the Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD), a leading research centre within Nanyang Technological University, seeks candidates with a PhD in Child Development or related fields and two years of postdoctoral experience to lead research projects, secure funding

Responsibilities

  • Develop research proposals and secure external funding through competitive grant schemes.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of research projects aligned with CRCD's focus on child development.
  • Engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research to contribute to CRCD's strategic priorities.
  • Publish research findings in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals and present at leading academic conferences.
  • Contribute to the translation of research into practice, including intervention development and engagement with educators.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to junior researchers within the Centre.

Requirements

  • A PhD in Child Development, Developmental Psychology, Early Childhood Education, or Educational Technology.
  • At least two years of postdoctoral research experience with clear evidence of scholarly independence.
  • Demonstrated success in conceptualising and writing research proposals to secure competitive grant funding.
  • Proven leadership capability in the management of research projects and teams.
  • A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications with citation metrics and journal rankings.
  • Evidence of independent research contributions, including first- or senior-author publications and invited academic presentations.
  • A demonstrated commitment to research translation, particularly in relation to educational practice and/or technology-enhanced learning.
