About This Role
The NTU Part-Time Research Fellow is seeking a PhD candidate to develop microscopic models of chiral metallic magnets, simulate low-energy excitations using numerical methods, and predict topological magnon bands.
Responsibilities
- Achieve theory targets in the Tier 2 proposal
- Formulate microscopic models of chiral metallic magnets and devise numerical simulation methods
- Meet the targets detailed in the Tier 2 proposal
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Physics or related field with extensive knowledge of quantum magnetism and numerical methods
- Develop algorithms to simulate low energy excitations in quantum spin systems
- Construct new observables to characterize topological magnon bands above complex ground state phases
- Experience with computational simulation is required
- Knowledge of quantum many body systems
