NIE is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Special Education (PCHD) with a doctorate, 4+ years of teaching experience, and research impact. Responsibilities
- Teach courses at undergraduate, graduate, and professional levels.
- Conduct research informing educational practice and policy.
- Build an active research programme with peer-reviewed publications.
- Establish collaborations with local and international academic communities.
- Contribute to curriculum development, programme leadership, and institutional initiatives.
- Undertake administrative responsibilities within the department.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field, preferably with specialization in special needs education.
- At least 4 years of excellent teaching record including innovative approaches and educational technology.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with the Singapore education system.
- Experience supervising graduate students (master's and/or doctoral level).
- A record of practice-based or applied research with publications in reputable international journals.
- Success in securing research funding as Principal Investigator.
