NIE is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Mathematics Education (MME) with a PhD, 10+ years of teaching experience, and five years of middle management. Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels for mathematics education.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate students in mathematics education research and school practicum.
• Teach mathematics education courses from pre-service to postgraduate level.
• Conduct research relating to mathematics education.
• Liaise with the Singapore MOE on curriculum and mathematics teacher education matters.
• Provide consultancy on mathematics education assessment for MOE and other IHL.

Requirements

• Have a PhD in Mathematics Education, with a particular focus on mathematics education relevant to Singapore.
• Have a strong record of classroom teaching, preferably with more than 10 years of experience teaching Mathematics in primary/elementary and middle/secondary school.
• Have at least five years of middle management experience, preferably as a Head of Department (Mathematics) or equivalent.
• Have some experience in teacher training, such as providing teacher professional development training as a teacher educator or lead teacher.
