About This Role
Seeking a Research Assistant to conduct doctoral research on open-source processor architectures, including RISC-V-based systems and AI accelerators, focusing on integrated circuit design and EDA workflows.
Responsibilities
- Conduct doctoral research on open-source processor architectures and hardware accelerators.
- Design, implement, and evaluate digital ICs using Verilog/SystemVerilog for processor and accelerator designs.
- Develop and optimize EDA workflows using open-source tools for verification and physical implementation.
- Explore architecture-algorithm co-design for machine learning and AI acceleration.
- Perform performance, power, and area (PPA) analysis of processor designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong interest in processor architecture and hardware acceleration for AI.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, digital systems, machine learning algorithms, and hardware implementation considerations.
- Experience with ASIC design methodologies and open-source IC design tools like Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Ability to conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable venues.
