About This Role
Seeking a Research Assistant to design, fabricate, and validate ingestible robotic systems for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) diagnostics and therapeutics.
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and fabricate ingestible robotic capsule systems
- Conduct in-vitro and ex-vivo experiments in simulated GI environments
- Develop and integrate biocompatible sensing modules for IBD biomarker detection
- Test targeted drug delivery mechanisms
- Perform data analysis and contribute to research publications
Requirements
- Bachelor's in electrical and Electronic Engineering, computer engineering, or related field
- Expertise in embedded system and FPGA
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages
- Knowledge of interfacing circuit design for low power sensing and wireless communication
- Familiarity with micro-fabrication techniques, rapid prototyping (e.g., 3D printing), or cleanroom processes
- Experience in experimental design and laboratory work, particularly in robotics, MEMS, or biomedical devices
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python)
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
