About This Role

Seeking a PhD candidate to develop geometrically-designed quantum algorithms for cold atom processors, utilizing differential geometry and linear algebra to translate mathematical theory into practical quantum computing solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Translate differential geometry concepts to outperform state-of-the-art quantum algorithms like QPE.
  • Use physicist experience to convert mathematical theory into actionable quantum circuit programming.
  • Translate protocols for cold atom hardware (National Quantum Processor Initiative) to reach beyond current capabilities.
  • Develop research and development solutions under strict NDA with commercial or in-house providers.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of quantum computing solutions from conception to delivering working prototypes.
  • Provide high-quality quantum middleware between software and hardware to enable long-term capabilities.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in similar roles or technical hands-on execution of quantum circuits on hardware.
  • Familiarity with standard quantum computing SDKs.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, numeric and analytical skills.
  • Competent in mentoring junior peers.
  • Ability to work independently, meet strict timelines, and be meticulous with eye for details.
