About This Role
Seeking a PhD candidate to develop geometrically-designed quantum algorithms for cold atom processors, utilizing differential geometry and linear algebra to translate mathematical theory into practical quantum computing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Translate differential geometry concepts to outperform state-of-the-art quantum algorithms like QPE.
- Use physicist experience to convert mathematical theory into actionable quantum circuit programming.
- Translate protocols for cold atom hardware (National Quantum Processor Initiative) to reach beyond current capabilities.
- Develop research and development solutions under strict NDA with commercial or in-house providers.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of quantum computing solutions from conception to delivering working prototypes.
- Provide high-quality quantum middleware between software and hardware to enable long-term capabilities.
Requirements
- PhD degree in mathematics, physics, computer science or related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in similar roles or technical hands-on execution of quantum circuits on hardware.
- Familiarity with standard quantum computing SDKs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages, numeric and analytical skills.
- Competent in mentoring junior peers.
- Ability to work independently, meet strict timelines, and be meticulous with eye for details.
