About This Role
Seeking a Research Engineer to support hardware design, assembly, and control of versatile end effectors for automotive manufacturing lines at the Hyundai-NTU-A*STAR Corporate Lab.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with research partners to design and automate end effectors for manufacturing systems.
- Conduct technical investigations into design concepts and manipulation strategies for end effector applications.
- Support prototype development, hardware assembly, and system integration.
- Plan and carry out experimental testing on end effectors using real-world components.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in a relevant field is also acceptable.
- Knowledge or experience in CAD design and mechanical system development.
- Hardware assembly and prototyping skills are advantageous.
- Microcontroller or PLC programming experience is preferred.
- Basic programming or firmware development experience is advantageous.
