About This Role
The NTU Project Officer (Engineering/Science) role focuses on expert guidance for air traffic control strategies, ConOps development, and HITL experiments to ensure safe aircraft operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation on ATM strategies and procedures to ensure safe aircraft movement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, refine, and validate operational procedures and ConOps.
- Support the design and execution of human-in-the-loop (HITL) experiments to ensure operational realism.
- Contribute to training and mentorship activities for research staff by sharing best practices.
- Advise on the integration of technological advancements like LORADS 3 to improve operational capabilities.
- Participate in reviews, audits, and validation activities of ATM ConOps to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Air Traffic Controller license (past or current)
- At least 2-year experience in air traffic control, including operational oversight and emergency procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science or Computer Science
- Strong understanding of ATM operations, safety procedures, and contingency handling.
- Ability to contribute to ConOps development and operational procedure validation.
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a commitment to safety
