About This Role
The Deputy Director, Administrations role requires a recognized Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree with 15+ years of senior management experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership capacity. Responsibilities
- Chart strategic directions and roadmaps of MAE in alignment with University goals.
- Work with central administrative offices to align and coordinate workflow processes between functions and departments.
- Provide leadership and guidance to administrative/technical functions of the school.
- Plan and review manpower allocation for efficient use of resources and adequate support to stakeholders.
- Conduct performance appraisals for direct reporting MSOs and advise the Chair on calibration exercises.
- Oversee overall financial operations including budget planning, monitoring, and asset management.
Requirements
- A recognized university degree, preferably from Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Prior experience in an institute of higher learning is an added advantage.
- At least 15 years of working experience with at least 8 years in a senior managerial role.
- Knowledgeable about MAE industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an excellent command of the English language.
- Excellent collaborative, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Strong in strategic thinking with an analytical mind.
- Confident and proactive with demonstrated dynamism, resourcefulness in problem solving, and initiative.
