Senior Assistant Director, Research

About This Role

Seeking a strategic leader to oversee the research ecosystem, drive performance, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration at NTU's College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the College's research ecosystem and translate vision into programmes, structures, and support systems.
• Lead research operations to ensure high-quality systems for investigator-led and collaborative research while supporting research centres.
• Enhance research support operations to enable efficient systems for both investigator-led and collaborative research.
• Provide strategic insight on research performance to influence decision-making within the College.
• Collaborate with the Dean and Director (Operations) to align research strategy, operations, and resource planning.
• Support the development of major initiatives and competitive funding opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience in research administration, grant sourcing, and grant administration.
• At least 3 years of people management/leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across levels and cultures.
• Proficient in data analysis, reporting of grant information, financial projection, and budgeting.
• Proactive, resourceful, adaptable, hands-on, meticulous, organised, and motivated.
