Seeking a PhD candidate with laser and photonic design experience to lead research on integrated lasers, quantum devices, and large-scale integration at NTU.
Responsibilities
- Design of high-performance integrated lasers
- Design of quantum photonic device library
- Photonic device-level characterization
- Large-scale photonic integration
- Photonic system characterization
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- At least 4 years of experience in laser and photonic design
- Proficiency in Ansys Lumerical, Tidy3D, Python, MATLAB, and GDSfactory
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently under strict timelines with excellent organizational skills
