About This Role
Seeking an experienced IT Operations Specialist to oversee server operations, infrastructure maintenance, and service level agreements at NTU's Centre of IT Services (CITS) in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Oversee infrastructure and server operations for Nanyang Business School (NBS) programs.
- Manage implementation of infrastructure changes and maintenance routines per design specifications.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of infrastructure replacement plans.
- Assist with IT operations for Graduate Programmes, Research Centers, Academic Divisions, Alumni, and Corporate Communications.
- Manage budget and costing for facility maintenance, operation, and upgrading activities.
- Oversee IT operations supporting strategic alignment of technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in server and system operations.
- Strong technical expertise in Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and virtualization platforms.
- Good working knowledge of server and system security, backup and recovery, and hardware maintenance.
- Experience with shared storage and enterprise networking technologies.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in providing end-user support for Windows and Mac OS based computers.
- Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware issues.
