Research Associate/Research Fellow (Power Engineering and Academic)

About This Role

Seeking a Research Associate or Fellow in power systems to conduct research on energy management, smart grids, and microgrids while supporting teaching activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on power systems topics including energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, smart grids, and microgrids.
• Publish in top quality journals and conferences.
• Prepare reports and conduct presentations at seminars.
• Assist the school in various teaching activities, including instructing or supervising labs and tutorials.

Requirements

• MSc/MEng (Research Associate) or PhD (Research Fellow) in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Expertise in electrical power systems.
• Experience in energy management, smart grids and microgrids.
• Proficient in MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.
• Experience in power systems simulation software packages such as MATLAB/Simulink or OPAL-RT.
• Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.
• Able to publish top quality conference/journal papers.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
