About This Role
A Research Fellow position at NTU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering seeks an expert in transportation engineering with a PhD to develop AI-assisted road safety analytics frameworks using multi-source datasets and GIS-enabled decision-support platforms.
Responsibilities
- Integrate and manage multi-source transport datasets including traffic flow, telematics, and signal timing.
- Design and conduct simulation experiments to evaluate safety interventions and quantify their impacts.
- Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights for road safety management.
- Contribute to the development of a GIS-based platform for visualization and policy support.
- Prepare technical reports, research publications, and project documentation.
Requirements
- PhD degree in transportation engineering or related field.
- Expertise in data analytics and computer programming.
- Knowledge in traffic safety, urban transportation studies, and operation research.
- Proficiency in English for data analysis and communication.
