About This Role
A Research Scientist (Quantum Materials) role at NTU's Centre for Quantum Sensing Technology requires a minimally PhD candidate with experience in computational work based on density functional theory and quantum chemistry to develop materials for cold-atom sensing, quantum photonics, and superconducting sensor technol
Responsibilities
- Develop materials related simulations in consultation with PI to inform experimental process design.
- Ensure conduct and proper documentations of designs/methods of simulation, cross-validation against experiments.
- Assist PI in ensuring alignment of computation/simulation support for project objectives and provide relevant trainings.
- Support PI in events, publications, proposals, planning, monitoring, reporting and technical operation needs related to the lab's mission.
- Contribute modelling work towards optimisation tasks for device fabrication and instrumentation work as needed.
Requirements
- Minimally PhD in physics, engineering, quantum chemistry, or materials engineering.
- Relevant prior experience in computational work based on density functional theory and quantum related work.
- Demonstrated collaborations with experimentalists would be advantageous.
