About This Role
Seeking a PhD candidate in Applied Physics or Electronics and Communication for the National Centre for Advanced Integrated Photonics (NCAIP) in Singapore, focusing on developing terahertz photonics devices and interconnects for high-speed communications.
Responsibilities
- Conduct literature review
- Carry out research activities assigned by Principal Investigator
- Disseminate outcomes in peer-reviewed journals
- Perform simulation and extensive analysis for device development and optimization
- Conduct THz communication, photonics characterization experiments
Requirements
- PhD in Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication or stream associated with THz/MM-wave photonics
- R&D ability and experience in terahertz photonics and high-speed communications
- Good communication skills with strong aptitude to lead and manage terahertz translational research works
- Experience using FDTD, MATLAB, and COMSOL multiphysics software platforms
- Understanding of fundamental principles photonic devices and systems
- Familiarity with modeling and testing photonics-based devices
