About This Role
The NIE seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Assessment Literacy and Technology-Enabled Assessment (LSA) to advance research, teaching, and practice in learning sciences, assessment literacy, and AI-supported evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Establish a productive research programme in classroom assessment extending into technology-enabled and AI-supported contexts.
- Design, teach, and coordinate graduate courses in assessment theory and practice across programmes.
- Contribute to programme development aligned with departmental priorities, including supervision of graduate students.
- Build collaborative partnerships with schools and educational stakeholders to inform practice.
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent qualification in Educational Assessment, Learning Sciences, or Instructional Leadership.
- A clear research agenda extending into technology-enabled assessment and AI-supported approaches.
- Demonstrated potential to secure competitive research funding.
- An emerging record of high-quality scholarly publications and conference presentations in reputable international outlets.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness or strong potential for excellence in assessment theory and practice.
