About This Role
The NTU Project Officer role focuses on enhancing fire resistance of precast structures and analyzing progressive collapse in flat slab systems through research, modeling, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses to improve fire performance of concrete materials and structural joints.
- Develop innovative methods for enhancing building safety and resilience through design and testing.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize new materials and construction techniques.
- Support performance-based fire design, numerical modelling, testing framework development, and technical reporting.
- Ensure project compliance with safety standards while contributing to the university's mission of innovation and community protection.
- Perform structural analysis using software and CAD to optimize precast concrete structures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of structural fire engineering and performance-based fire design.
- Experience in structural/material testing, modelling, or data analysis.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with reinforced and precast concrete structure design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD.
