About This Role
A Research Fellow in the CTP Cluster 4 aims to develop new engineering solutions for seawall design and coastal defense by conducting in-depth research, performing laboratory experiments with FEM software, and publishing high-quality journal papers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on flexible seawall design and construction.
- Perform laboratory experiments to test the performance of flexible seawalls in flume tests.
- Conduct numerical studies using FEM software to analyze and optimize coastal protection system design.
- Write project progress reports and assist in daily project operation management.
- Publish high-quality peer-reviewed journal papers to promote international reputation.
Requirements
- PhD degree in civil engineering, coastal engineering, or ocean engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in coastal structure foundation design and hydrodynamics analysis.
- Strong background in hydrodynamics analysis.
- Expertise in laboratory coastal structure testing.
- Proficiency in FEM software (Ansys, Abaqus, Plaxis, Comsol).
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent English proficiency for data analysis.
