About This Role
A Counsellor position at NTU requires a Master's degree in counselling, preferably with SAC registration and 3+ years of experience working with young adults in educational settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional counselling services including risk and need assessments, intervention plans, and referrals.
- Facilitate case formulation, deliver presentations, escalate sensitive cases, and maintain clinical records.
- Collaborate with schools, student service offices, and other professionals to manage complex mental health issues.
- Design and facilitate wellbeing training initiatives and portfolio projects annually.
- Support daily UCC operations, perform additional duties as assigned by the Head or Director.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and training to develop professional expertise.
Requirements
- Master's degree in counselling.
- Preferably a clinical member and registered counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC) or equivalent.
- At least three (3) years of professional counselling experience.
- Proficiency in professional counselling approaches and tools to help clients with diverse issues and conditions.
- Experience in working with young adults, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team is advantageous.
- Strong attention to details and commitment to maintaining accuracy in all operational aspects.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
