About This Role
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) is seeking a Research Fellow in the YES Group to conduct interdisciplinary research on neuroendocrinology, metabolism, and gut-brain axis pathways using advanced experimental techniques.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on natural products, functional foods, and neuroendocrine regulation.
- Design and perform in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo experiments including molecular and animal studies.
- Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot protocols, and maintain research records.
- Assist in preparing manuscripts, grant applications, and conference abstracts.
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers while supporting laboratory operations.
- Present research progress in group meetings, seminars, and conferences.
Requirements
- PhD in neuroscience, physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, food science, nutrition, pharmacology, or biomedical science.
- Strong research experience in neuroendocrinology, metabolism, gut-brain axis, or natural products.
- Hands-on experience with cell culture, qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, immunostaining, microscopy, and biochemical assays.
- Experience with behavioral studies, metabolic phenotyping, tissue collection, or bioinformatics.
