About This Role

Seeking a Research Engineer II to lead FPGA-based hardware acceleration for digital trust platforms, focusing on privacy and security algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research in FPGA hardware acceleration and translate algorithms into efficient architectures.
  • Design and build proof-of-concept systems to showcase research capabilities for technology transfer.
  • Develop FPGA implementations for compute-intensive workloads including cryptography and AI/ML.
  • Write technical documentation, papers, and presentations to raise competency in emerging trust technologies.
  • Engage global partners and researchers to advance Singapore's mindshare in trusted hardware systems.
  • Work closely with Centre researchers to design and develop research prototypes into proof of concept.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and interdisciplinary interests to interact with researchers.
  • Ability to work independently under strict timelines.
  • Experience explaining complex hardware concepts clearly to stakeholders and engineers.
  • Familiarity with FPGA toolchains like Vivado, Vitis, or Quartus.
  • Experience with interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, HBM, and Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of Linux environments, Unix scripting, Git, and automation workflows.
