About This Role
Seeking a Research Engineer II to lead FPGA-based hardware acceleration for digital trust platforms, focusing on privacy and security algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in FPGA hardware acceleration and translate algorithms into efficient architectures.
- Design and build proof-of-concept systems to showcase research capabilities for technology transfer.
- Develop FPGA implementations for compute-intensive workloads including cryptography and AI/ML.
- Write technical documentation, papers, and presentations to raise competency in emerging trust technologies.
- Engage global partners and researchers to advance Singapore's mindshare in trusted hardware systems.
- Work closely with Centre researchers to design and develop research prototypes into proof of concept.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
- Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and interdisciplinary interests to interact with researchers.
- Ability to work independently under strict timelines.
- Experience explaining complex hardware concepts clearly to stakeholders and engineers.
- Familiarity with FPGA toolchains like Vivado, Vitis, or Quartus.
- Experience with interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, HBM, and Ethernet.
- Knowledge of Linux environments, Unix scripting, Git, and automation workflows.
