About This Role
The NTU Research Associate position requires a Master's degree in Statistics or related fields, proficiency in statistical analysis using SPSS, and experience with educational research contexts to conduct a 16.5-month contract study on primary school English grammar teaching beliefs and practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive literature review
- Manage the SurveyMonkey platform and perform statistical analyses using SPSS or equivalent software
- Be involved in making classroom observations and coding quantitative data from lessons
- Conduct post-observation interviews with teachers, transcribe and analyze interview data
- Assist in drafting and preparing the final research report
Requirements
- Master's degree in Statistics or a closely related field
- Proficient in conducting statistical analyses
- Familiar with educational research contexts
- Prior research experience in education will be an advantage
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
