About This Role
Amazon is seeking a Software Dev Engineer to join the AWS RDS PostgreSQL Contributors team, where you will contribute to open source PostgreSQL core code and community expertise.
Responsibilities
- Author and review PostgreSQL core database engine code for the central PostgreSQL open source git repository.
- Discuss designs, architecture, bugs, and other community business on the public PostgreSQL mailing lists.
- Contribute to open source projects at the core project source code level (primarily C language).
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
