Google is seeking a Software Engineer II specializing in cloud and third-party platform security with experience in distributed systems, data structures, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Execute tactical coding tasks for cloud security projects under executive guidance.
• Write clean, well-tested code adhering to Google engineering standards and team workflows.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing progress and escalating blockers appropriately.
• Contribute to shared responsibilities including maintaining test suites and documentation.
• Apply team-specific tools like Google3, Blaze, and Piper to solve pre-defined technical problems.
• Participate in team meetings to share progress and seek guidance on project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of software development experience in Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript.
• 1 year of data structures and algorithms experience.
• 1 year of large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems building experience.
• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science is preferred.
