About This Role
A public service lecturer in Singapore's School of Engineering seeks a qualified Facilities Management or Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years experience in Smart Facility Management, BIM, and data analytics to deliver academic content, supervise student projects, and support community outreach.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lessons to full-time and part-time diploma students.
- Design, develop, and deliver curriculum, courseware, and e-learning modules.
- Supervise student projects and internships in collaboration with industry partners.
- Apply IT tools to enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
- Coach and mentor students in academic development, competitions, career guidance, and personal growth.
- Undertake academic administration, committee work, and support outreach activities.
Requirements
- Qualification in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Sciences.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management or sustainability consultancy.
- Hands-on experience with Smart Facilities Management, BIM, Digital Twin, IoT, and data analytics.
- Knowledge of Fire Safety Systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), AC/ACMV systems, and security/surveillance in large commercial buildings.
- Relevant certifications including Fire Safety Manager, Autodesk Revit certification, BIM Modelling/Management, or IT programming.
