[LTA-ITCD] CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER (1-YR TEMPORARY CONTRACT)

About This Role

A temporary Cyber Engineer is seeking a hands-on experience with Akamai Web Application Firewall (WAF) operations, including security feature rollout and onboarding support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Akamai services with focus on WAF operations and security incident follow-up.
• Provide onboarding support for new systems onto Akamai and offer consultancy to project teams regarding security matters.
• Support the rollout and evaluation of new Akamai security features, including antimalware scanning and AI Firewall.
• Prepare operational reports and security metrics for internal stakeholders, serving as a coordination point between project teams.
• Maintain and improve operational documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and configuration guides.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on security incidents and alerts.

Requirements

• At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or web application security.
• Direct experience working with Akamai products is strongly preferred, with equivalent experience on Cloudflare or F5 also considered.
• Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related technical disciplines.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 concepts and common attack patterns (SQLi, XSS, CSRF) as well as API security principles.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python or Bash for automation and data processing tasks.
• Experience with log analysis, incident management processes (root cause analysis), and documentation of timelines.
