About This Role
The School of Infocomm seeks an Assistant Director Capability and Industry to lead strategic AI initiatives, drive business growth through go-to-market strategies, and forge partnerships with government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead capability development initiatives to strengthen technology capabilities, focusing on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
- Monitor and anticipate industry trends to ensure the School remains at the forefront of IT innovation.
- Align departmental competencies to develop and implement a technology roadmap supporting long-term strategic goals.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of technology projects and training programmes in emerging tech domains.
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams to drive successful industry projects and training programmes.
- Forge strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and other key stakeholders to expand reach.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in the IT industry with a strong technical foundation.
- Proven ability to build and nurture high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated success in capability development, business development, and technology transformation.
- Extensive experience in developing and deploying IT solutions involving artificial intelligence.
- Experience collaborating with government agencies, research institutes, and industry partners.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage senior management.
