About This Role
The Chemical Regulatory Manager role requires a qualified candidate with expertise in Korea, Japan, and Singapore chemical regulations (K-REACH, K-CCA, K-BPR, etc.) to ensure compliance for HP's products across the APJ region.
Responsibilities
- Own chemical regulatory compliance for HP's products in the APJ region, focusing on Korea and Japan regulations.
- Identify new or revised chemical regulations impacting HP's products and assess their effects on formulations.
- Monitor authorities, trade associations, standards bodies, and NGOs to contribute regulatory roadmaps and translate analysis into actionable requirements.
- Collaborate with outside consultants, trade associations, and competent authorities to advocate for workable regulatory outcomes.
- Develop and implement compliance solutions by tracking formulation changes, partnering on design/supplier actions, and supporting certification/validation/testing.
- File, disclose, report, and sustain compliance through efficient processes for chemical notifications, registrations, and import/tonnage reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, or Regulatory Management (Master's preferred).
- 3β8 years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance or product stewardship.
- Strong knowledge of Asian chemical regulations, particularly Korea (K-REACH, K-CCA, K-BPR, K-OSHA), Japan (ISHA), and Singapore.
- Understanding of global frameworks such as REACH-type registration schemes and GHS.
