About This Role
Thales Contract Manager for Southeast Asia is a senior legal and contract specialist responsible for managing project contracts, supporting tender offers, overseeing compliance activities including third-party screening, and providing strategic legal intelligence to the Region.
Responsibilities
- Establish, manage, and continuously update contractual baselines from contract signature to project closure
- Ensure full contractual awareness across the project team and anticipate deviations through proactive notices and waivers
- Recommend optimal contractual structures for competitiveness while respecting regulations and internal governance
- Draft, revise, and negotiate contractual documents with customers, partners, and subcontractors
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing contractual communications to ensure consistency, traceability, and strategic alignment
- Handle disputes involving key subcontractors or suppliers by coordinating with dedicated contract management teams
Requirements
- Advanced academic background in Law, Contract Management, Business, or related field with a Master's degree-level qualification
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience as a legal counsel or contract manager working in an international context
- Endowed with analytical and synthesis skills to assess situations accurately and propose pragmatic solutions
- Understanding of the stakes associated with a major international Group's compliance program
- Mastery of third-party review (third-party screening) and ability to conduct compliance analyses
- Strong proactivity towards stakeholders with good ability to manage priorities and inter-cultural awareness
