Manufacturing Design Engineer (Opto-Mechanical)

About This Role

KLA seeks a Manufacturing Design Engineer in Singapore to manage optical alignment equipment and improve manufacturing processes for advanced wafer inspection tools. This role requires hands-on mechanical design experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage optical alignment equipment and methodology for inspection tools.
• Control photo-contamination and improve mechanical part yield/predictability.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues with mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve component quality problems.
• Assist Quality/Purchasing in driving supplier improvements and cost reductions.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master's in mechanics with 3-5 years mechanical design experience.
• Hands-on assembly, alignment, calibration, integration, and testing of mechanical subsystems (optical preferred).
• Experience developing manufacturing procedures for assembled (optical) mechanical systems.
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-driven with a keen technical mind and strong team player attitude.
• 25% traveling required.
