Full Job Description
Responsibilities: Product Management and Distribution Own the end-to-end product management of investment products including unit trusts, treasury products, equities, precious metal and/or other investment-related products may be developed over time. Drive the development and optimization of investment products and propositions marketed through digital channels (including the CIMB Clicks). Work closely with fund managers, product partners, and internal stakeholders to onboard new product offerings/propositions while managing the existing product shelves. Monitor product performance, sales trends, and market developments to identify opportunities for portfolio growth and rationalization. Business Growth & Strategy Develop and execute strategies to drive investment product sales, grow Assets Under Management (AUM) and lift penetration rate for investment product holdings across customer segments (retail, emerging affluent, affluent). Identify and pursue partnerships, product enhancements, and go-to market opportunities that deliver measurable business impact. Track and analyse key business metrics, preparing regular management reporting and insights to support strategic decision-making. Transformation & Process Improvement Lead or contribute to transformation projects spanning operational process redesign, systems enhancements, and digital capability building. Work with technology and operations team to streamline workflows, reduce manual touchpoints, and improve the end-to-end customer journey. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, proactively surfacing pain points and driving solutions to completion. Daily Operations & Controls Manage day-to-day operational activities related to the investment product suite, including reconciliations, pricing oversight and issues resolution. Ensure seamless execution of business-as-usual tasks while concurrently managing project and strategic workstreams. Serve as a key point of escalation for operational queries from front-line staff and internal stakeholders (various risk functions, legal, compliance, operations), ensuring timely and accurate resolution. Manage outsourcing partnerships and operations Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure investment products comply with applicable MAS regulations, including product disclosure, suitability and advertising requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments (eg MAS notices, FAA, SFA requirements) and proactively manage compliance obligations. Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to assess and mitigate product-level risks, and to ensure robust controls are in place. Assist with periodic review/audit activities when requested by internal/external auditors Prepare accurate periodic regulatory reports and respond to any regulatory queries/matter in a timely manner. Requirements: Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing Requirements CMFAS, CFA, CAIA, Six Sigma, Agile Methodology or any project management certification(s) will be an advantage Relevant Work Experience 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in investments product management, bancassurance, wealth management or a related field within financial services Demonstrated experience managing funds and/or investment products distributed through digital channels (mobile banking, online platforms, or similar) Proven track record of driving business growth – whether through AUM growth, product launches, revenue generation, customer acquisition, etc. Experience with treasury or structured products is an advantage but not a compulsory requirement Background in transformation projects – either operational process redesign or technology/systems implementations – is highly valued Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of Singapore's investment product regulatory landscape, including MAS notices, FAA/SFA requirements and related guidelines Familiarity with retail investor landscape, unit trust mechanics, fund distribution frameworks in Singapore Commercially astute with an ability to translate data and market intelligence into actionable product strategies Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products and AI tools; experience with banking systems or product management tools is an advantage Ability to read and write Chinese is a plus but is not a requirement for this role Attributes and Mindset Genuine team player who believes that sustainable success is built collectively, you share credit, support teammates and invest in the team's overall performance Can-do attitude: you are solution oriented, take initiative and do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves when the work demands it Comfortable operating in a dual-track environment – managing structured projects and unplanned operational demands simultaneously Strong communicator with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders, internal/external partners, and frontline colleague alike Meticulous with a high degree of personal accountability; you take ownership of outcomes and hold yourself to a high standard
