Job Description

IMCB’s JG Lab is seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Fellow to join a competitive, interdisciplinary research programme on advanced cancer biology. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing cutting-edge cancer proteomics analyses, and integrated validation using cell, spatial, and translational biology approaches.

This position offers the opportunity to work at the interface of state-of-the-art proteomics, spatial biology, and clinical translation, within a vibrant, highly collaborative research environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and interpret advanced proteomics analyses (both Mass Spectrometry (MS) and Non-MS), including targeted and untargeted approaches.
  • Develop, optimize, and implement novel proteomics workflows/technologies for actionable proteome analysis.
  • Perform biological and translational validation of proteomics findings using: Clinical samples, cell culture, organoid, and/or animal models; Biochemical, molecular, and spatial biology assays
  • Conduct imaging- and mechanics-based validation, including techniques such as SHG, AFM or related modes.
  • Contribute to and support assay and prototype development for functional and translational readouts.
  • Handle and manage clinical samples, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical requirements.
  • Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and manuscripts, and contribute to grant-related activities where appropriate.
  • Train junior researchers and students when needed
  • Work closely with the lead PI, collaborating PIs, clinicians, and interdisciplinary teams across proteomics, spatial biology, and cancer research themes.
  • Undertake related administrative and project coordination duties as required.
