Senior Research Engineer I (SRV), SIMTech

About This Role

Join SIMTech at A*STAR in Singapore as a Senior Research Engineer to own the Green Compass digital platform. You will apply full-stack development skills to build innovative sustainability assessment tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Green Compass web application (frontend, backend, database).
• Build responsive UIs and develop backend APIs/database schemas.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into applications.
• Support infrastructure, deployment, and DevOps processes.
• Provision cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in CS, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks.
• Experience with NextJS/ReactJS, Express.js, Typescript.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Docker.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Interest in applying tech to sustainability challenges.
• Willingness to learn LCA/TEA concepts.
• Strong communication and positive work attitude.
