About This Role
A*STAR seeks a Senior Research Engineer II to maintain SiC crystal growth tools and support facilities within the NSTIC-GaN program. This role requires technical expertise to ensure high tool uptime and process quality.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment and facilities to maintain tool performance.
- Prepare SOPs, OCAPs, and technical documentation.
- Manage vendor relations for parts and chemicals.
- Maintain SiC crystal growth tools (PVT) for >90% uptime.
- Document maintenance and contribute to project reviews.
- Support technology transfer and scale-up activities.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 5-10 years of hands-on semiconductor fabrication experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of independent/teamwork.
- Facilities management experience is advantageous.
- Prior industry experience is an advantage.
