Research Officer

About This Role

A*STAR's Singapore Immunology Network seeks a Research Officer to contribute to high-impact research on inflammation signaling and cancer biology, focusing on metastasis mechanisms. This role involves hands-on lab work in the Laboratory of Inflammation, Epigenetics and Translational Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments using cell and molecular biology techniques.
• Analyze data from western blotting, cell-based assays, and molecular cloning.
• Assist in mouse colony maintenance and animal experiments.
• Support administrative tasks including procurement, inventory, and equipment upkeep.
• Document experimental procedures and data accurately in the logbook.

Requirements

• Excellent degree in Cancer Biology, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Biomedical Science.
• Prior wet-lab experience (FYP/1-2 years) in a relevant research area.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
• Experience with animal work and handling mice is essential.
• Strong commitment to research demonstrated through prior experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting.
