Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our research team in the field of nanophotonics and advanced optical devices. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, fabrication, and characterization of cutting-edge photonic structures, including metasurfaces and polaritonic devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct optical characterization of nanophotonic devices using advanced optical setups.
  • Design, develop, and optimize device fabrication processes for photonic and metasurface structures.
  • Build and operate optical systems involving spatial light modulators (SLMs) and structured light excitation techniques.
  • Perform experimental studies on polariton lasing devices and tunable metasurfaces.
  • Analyze experimental data and correlate results with theoretical models in optical physics.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance device performance and integration.
  • Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in nanophotonics and optical physics.
  • Hands-on experience with optical setups, particularly involving spatial light modulation.
  • Practical experience in cleanroom fabrication processes, including:
    • Photolithography
    • Electron Beam Lithography (EBL)
    • Thin film deposition and nanofabrication techniques
  • Familiarity with tunable device fabrication and metasurface technologies.
  • Experience with polariton or laser-based photonic devices is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g., FDTD, COMSOL).
  • Experience in integrating optical systems with electronic or imaging platforms.
  • Track record of publications in relevant fields.
