Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and driven Scientist to join our team working on next-generation optical sensing devices. The successful candidate will focus on the fabrication and characterization of advanced nanophotonic structures, including metasurface-based sensing platforms, with applications in high-sensitivity detection and integrated photonic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and fabricate optical sensing devices, including metasurface-based platforms.
  • Perform optical and electrical characterization of sensing devices to evaluate performance and sensitivity.
  • Design and optimize fabrication processes for nanophotonic structures.
  • Conduct experimental studies and analyze results based on principles of optical physics and nanophotonics.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment to implement micro- and nano-fabrication processes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve device functionality and integration.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and contribute to technical reports and publications.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of nanophotonics and optical physics.
  • Hands-on experience in optical sensing devices and metasurface fabrication.
  • Experience with optical and electrical characterization techniques.
  • Proven experience working in a cleanroom environment, including:
    • Photolithography
    • Electron Beam Lithography (EBL)
    • Thin film deposition and nanofabrication processes
  • Ability to independently design experiments and solve technical challenges.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiar with simulation tools (e.g., FDTD, COMSOL).
  • Experience in integrated photonics or lab-on-chip sensing systems.
  • Strong publication record in relevant research areas.
