About This Role

A*STAR seeks a Scientist in Photonics to lead projects on the heterogeneous integration of thin-film lithium niobate on silicon. This role involves technical problem-solving, data analysis, and cross-functional team collaboration to enhance device performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement concepts for TFLN on silicon heterogeneous integration.
• Manage projects to increase value for internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Analyze process variable impact on device performance using in-line/off-line data.
• Communicate project results via technical reports and presentations.

Requirements

• PhD in science or engineering (or equivalent), preferably in semiconductor device development.
• Experience in semiconductor processing/integration is advantageous.
• Familiarity with lithium niobate modulators or heterogeneous integration is a plus.
• Proficiency in design of experiments and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong communication, presentation skills, and ability to work independently/in a team.
